Without throwing it too far back.
I’ll start by saying that sports in high school were my lifeline. Everything I did for five years revolved around volleyball in the fall/winter and track in the spring. So when I decided to go to college I thought I was going to play volleyball.
Turns out I found partying was more fun and in all honesty, I didn’t even want to be in college. I knew it wasn’t for me but for two years I stuck it out all while drinking cases of beer and exorbitant amounts of liquor; Thus gaining 50 pounds and losing so much more, but that's a story for another day.
My fitness journey began again a few years later when a friend asked me to join her beachbody challenge group on Facebook. I dropped almost 30 pounds and instantly fell in love with the idea of coaching. So in April 2014 I joined beachbody as a coach and began running my own challenges.
After a year of coaching and making a nice little income I chose to part ways with beachbody and work on becoming a Personal Trainer. Then on October 11, 2015 my husband asked me to marry him. I thought that I had all the motivation in the world to be in shape for my wedding. Unfortunately anxiety got the best of me.
This is where my current story begins. I went on an anti-anxiety medicine a few months before my wedding hoping that it would keep me calm. From the time I started taking the medication to the day of my wedding I had put back on almost all of the weight I had lost previously. This was devastating for me, my dress didn’t fit the way I wanted it to, all of my wedding pictures I hated, and worst of all I didn’t feel beautiful or comfortable on MY day.
Today I am working with clients as a self made personal trainer and most importantly working on myself. I have a long journey ahead of me but I know that I have the determination to achieve my goals.
